MyVision Oxfordshire is a charity which supports blind and visually impaired people across the county, offering a variety of services including technology training, information and advice, counselling, and befriending.

We are looking for a volunteer in the Watlington area to become a befriender, to visit someone who may be feeling lonely or isolated. You will be paired with an individual and visit them within their home on a regular basis, to provide company, perhaps support them with reading their post, go for a walk or simply have a chat. The time commitment can be flexible, but we tend to suggest one hour, weekly.

As a volunteer you will receive Visual Impairment Awareness training and ongoing support from our Volunteer Coordinator. Due to the one-to-one nature of the role, all our volunteers are required to complete a DBS check. If you are interested in the role, please email: volunteer@myvision.org.uk or call 01865 725 595.
